Ordering Information
Please review all of the information on this page before placing an order.
All Faux Paw Furs' sewn items, throws, blankets, pillows, comforters, bedspreads, stoles etc., are custom made after payment is received and will be delivered to your door in 3 to 5 weeks. You can expect delivery of a fabric or yardage order in 1 to 3 weeks. Orders are shipped FedEx Ground unless otherwise requested. International orders ship via the US Post office. The Faux Paw Furs website does not have a shopping cart. To place an order by phone, please call (949) 215-3647 from 9am to 6pm pacific standard time. Vonage is our telephone provider. This means that if our internet connection is down, the phone won't work. If you can't get through on (949) 215-3647, please call (310) 721-1107. To place an order by e-mail, write to orders@fauxpawfurs.com. In your e-mail, provide the following information:
1. Item and item # (example: Eva Blanket, Eva-B)
2. Number of items (example: 2)
3. Your Name
4. Your e-mail Address
5. Your billing and/or shipping address
6. Your daytime phone number
7. Your method of payment (example: personal check)
Once your order is received, a confirmation e-mail will be sent within 24 hours. This e-mail will verify your order and confirm the total amount due. Payment is due within 7 calendar days of order confirmation. You will receive another e-mail when your payment is received. Remember, your order is a legal and binding contract.
Accepted Forms of Payment:
From US Customers, Faux Paw Furs accepts the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. DO NOT E-MAIL YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER. Internet criminals can steal your credit card information from an un-secure e-mail. When placing an order by phone, read your credit card number to me. If you are placing an order by e-mail, I will call you to get your credit card number. I also accept PayPal, money orders, cashier's checks, personal checks, and US cash. From international customer, I accept US cash, USD money orders, credit cards and PayPal. You should be able to purchase a USD money order from your bank. All checks and money orders should be made out to me, Alison Wayne and mailed to Faux Paw Furs: 22485 Avenida Copete: Laguna Hills, CA 92653 USA.
Shipping:
Orders shipped to continental US addresses go FedEx Ground unless otherwise requested. FedEx guarantees delivery within 5 business days. Items shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, US Military and internationally go airmail parcel post via the United States Post Office. Delivery time on those packages is 4 to 10 business days. Buyer is responsible for all shipping charges and a standard handling fee. Packages are delivered more quickly to business addresses than residential addresses. Residents of Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, US Military as well as international customers will have shipping charges quoted individually.
Calculate Your Shipping Charges:
Each yard of fabric weighs approximately 2.5 pounds. The shipping box weighs approximately 1.5 pounds, therefore the minimum shipping charge is for 4 pounds. Individual blankets and throws are approximately 2 yards of fabric, or 6.5 pounds (2 1/2 pounds X 2 yards of fabric = 5 pounds + 1 1/2 pounds (box) = 6 1/2 pounds. If you are purchasing two yards of fabric, your order would also weigh 6 1/2 pounds. Please see the two tables below to estimate your shipping cost. One shows the weight of a variety of items, and the other shows the shipping costs for those weights. California residents must pay 7.75% sales tax, and therefore receive reduced shipping rates.

Insurance:
FedEx automatically insures your package for $100. If you want more insurance, please add .50 for each additional $100 worth of insurance. For example, if you wanted to insure your order for $300, you would need to include an extra $1 for the additional $200 you need above and beyond the $100 FedEx supplies. The US Post office will only insure packages sent in the United States. They changed their policy, because they have no control over the package once it leaves the United States. Sadly, this means that there can be no insurance on international packages. On the bright side, all of my international shipments have arrived safely. Faux Paw Furs has been in business since 2002, so that's a pretty good record.
Return Policy:
Faux Paw Furs will consider granting returns on a case by case basis for fake fur items. Cut yardage is only returnable if you receive the wrong item. For example if you order two yards of black mink and receive two yards of cheetah, the return will be accepted. If you are unsure about the furs for any reason, you may receive swatches of up to 5 fur patterns for one $5 charge. On sewn fake fur items, returns will only be accepted for wrong items. Again, all Faux Paw Furs' items are custom made after they are ordered, so if you get what you ordered, it's yours.
Since our teddy bears are made by another vendor, they are not returnable.
Cashmere blankets may be returned or exchanged within 15 days of shipment. Throw/s must be in un-used condition and returned with their original packaging. Once the returned item has arrived, a credit will be issued on your credit card or if you paid by check, a refund check will be mailed within 7 days.
Fabric Samples:
Faux Paw Furs charges for fabric swatches. There is a $5.00 charge for up to 5 fur patterns, a $10 charge for 6-10 fur patterns, and a $15 charge for 11 fur patterns or more. Let me know which furs you like, and once payment is received, they'll be on their way!
